Yes, each family member in the program may choose a different dentist or dental office. Select Plan subscribers are required to select a participating dentist prior to receiving coverage, but may select a different dentist or dental office for each family member in the program by going online or calling Customer Service at 888.518.5338. ePPO and Discount Program subscribers must use a participating network dentist, but are not required to select a dentist. Each family member in the program may also receive care from different participating dentists and dental offices. PPO subscribers and their family members in the program may receive dental care from any licensed dentist and are not required to select a dentist. However, members should always consider using a participating network dentist to maximize their out-of-pocket savings. To learn more about in-network savings, visit EOB and select “In-Network Advantages” in the PPO section. If a Select Plan member wants to change his or her dentist or dental office, he or she may do so at any time by emailing through the online contact form or calling Customer Service at 888.518.5338. I think it's probably a good idea to leave this insurance. I literally set up autopay, received coonfirmation via email, then received a notice of cancelation. No payments processed. I guess the payment system doesn't work. I'll try again next year with another company.

Horrible Support! I'm getting a 404 error every time I try to login to the web portal. I have spent over 2 hours in support calls, providing full documentation of the issues I'm having. They continue to blame me for the errors even though I've followed their directions exactly. Their IT team has a 3 day SLA for responses to issues! 3 days for send an activation email is insane! They won't believe that I'm doing things right, but I have to wait 3 days to prove it AGAIN. This company doesn't seem interested in fixing the issues. Thank goodness it's open enrollment.

I would not recommend this insurance due to their denial of claims and not covering their part of payments. Their Elite PPO plan does not cover preventive treatments for adults such as fluoride treatment as well as X-rays. They are also not covering major dental services as per the plan. Mobile app isn't working well and you have to always either contact them by phone or login on computer.

I am not one to write many reviews, positive or negative, but I have never experienced an insurance company's claim administration this bad. I don't know whether to attribute my experience to Dominion's incompetence or their reluctance to pay a valid claim. I've been an insured with Dominion for many years, and they've been fine with claims for preventative and basic services. My latest claim has been for a more serious and expensive procedure. In spite of the fact that the dentist has mailed and faxed numerous copies of the requested dentist's tax and provider information, the claim continues to be rejected for the absence of this information. I repeatedly call Dominion to check if the information was received, and only after my firm insistence that they have it, the (very polite) claims representative affirms their possession, and advised me to expect a 20-30 day wait for a claims review . Of course, several weeks later I receive another claim denial for lack of the same dentist's information sent several times. This cycle has been repeated and nausea over several months! Remember the movie Groundhog Day? Do not purchase dental insurance with Dominion National!!

The customer service people are genuinely nice, but completely unable to assist with issues. We pay for this "insurance" plan, which really does not offer any benefits at all. No information was provided on how to properly secure a provider. I chose one from the list, made an appointment, and then ended up having the claim rejected because we didn't add their name to the card. There is only one provider in my area who could be added, so we did and then made an appointment for a 6 month checkup and cleaning. This provider refused to do the cleaning, and only took one x-ray for a tooth that had an issue. When I asked for another appointment for a cleaning, she said, "We don't get paid by this discount plan, so find someone else to do it next year." It's a complete waste of money.
