Okay, I didn't really LOVE it, but it was as enjoyable an experience you'll have at a dentist. That seemed worth the five stars. Every member of the staff was very friendly and courteous, and I didn't have to wait very long at any point. It ended up that I needed some additional minor work done and they were able to do it right away, rather than having to return at a later date. I also had an insurance hiccup and the woman who handles that was very patient while I figured out the issue. Ultimately I decided to go elsewhere for whitening because their Zoom pricing isn't very competitive, but other than that, I'd definitely recommend this practice.

I didn't grow up going to the dentist, so when I started going to Dr Ackerman's practice he had a series of unpleasant truths for me. He presented them in a manner that helped me understand the severity of the situation but also presented me with a treatment plan to address the problems. Dr Ackerman also referred me to a surgeon for removal of wisdom teeth and that went amazing. There is a second doctor at this practice as well, and he receives equally glowing reviews from me, though I can't remember his name (I'm bad with names). The hygienist here is a hoot. She's funny and she gets your teeth clean while answering all of your questions. That's kind of a theme here, these guys answered all of my questions very well. I'm glad these folks are my dentists.

Go in for a cleaning and he charges $495 for 1/4 your mouth without telling you so -- and he isn't a periodontist. He said I needed a bridge. After that a Georgetown U. graduate dentist gave me the full cleaning for $210 and he said my teeth are fine. Ackerman has to advertise so much; no one goes more than once.
